One Source for Consistent Data

The Single Source of Truth (SSOT) represents both a physical and virtual consolidated repository of all of an organization's key integrated data assets. For Polk CDI, integrated customer data assets become your single source of truth. SSOT refers to the notion that the truth cannot be consistent if it originates from more than one source. Inconsistency with data creates both redundancy and waste, just as excess inventory becomes outdated or costly to hold.

The SSOT is OneView360°'s repository that stores all standardized and enhanced integrated data. A data access layer insulates the interaction with the SSOT to ensure data security and integrity. All reference data is centrally managed and not duplicated. No data makes it into the Operational Data Store (ODS) without passing through the transformation, standardization, enhancement and quality processes built into the solution.

Our sophisticated Data Access Layer (DAL) configures the SSOT by linking to the OneView360° Master Data Dictionary. This allows the SSOT to be configured for each organization's unique data needs. The Gatekeeper's function is to ensure data quality, compliance and visibility to the completeness and accuracy of data.

The paradigm shift is representative of the open approach taken in our service-oriented architecture to connect the data sources as "loose couplings," instead of the traditional point-to-point interfaces. This approach creates a more flexible environment, enabling you to be more agile as you utilize our solution and you continue to integrate data from new sources ensuring a complete view of your data over time.
