Data Enhancement

Supporting an Evolving Environment.

Each implementation of OneView360° will require a unique set of data enhancement services. These services will also evolve and grow as changes in the business and new data are introduced. To support this evolving environment, OneView360° focuses on the integration and orchestration of these services.

The Enhancement Services components of OneView360° are responsible for the setup and execution of service orchestration for the purpose of enriching data into or out of the Single Source of Truth (SSOT).

In the Enhancement stage, OneView360° implements a sophisticated service registration and orchestration engine that provides a high degree of flexibility for integrating new services. This cleanses and enriches the data. Some common examples of services to enrich consumer data are:

  • Name and address standardization
  • Applying National Change of Address (NCOA) updates
  • Applying persistent customer/household IDs
  • Enriching geography (adding latitude/longitude)
  • Assigning customers to retail outlets

The combination of these "services" and the consolidation of all customer data from multiple source systems and channels leads to a richer, more complete 360° view of the customer. In most industries, product data can benefit from either coding or de-coding to ensure item data integrity. The sophistication of our engine allows for many of these "enrichment services" to run in parallel, as typically only sub-sets of data are required to perform these functions rather than processing the entire information database for each.

At run time, the Service Orchestration Engine creates all the necessary binding information to connect to and call the enhancement services setup in an orchestration. The engine at run time creates the execution path for the services, fully aware of service dependencies. This allows for highly efficient parallel processing.

OneView360° uses exclusive D3e (Data Driven Dependency engine) orchestration technology developed by RLPTechnologies to maximize data processing. Information about the data (elements, lineage, relationships and uses) maintained in the system enable us to have intelligence built in to determine how and when services can be used. Through the use of Web Service Description Language (WSDL), services are made available for use in the D3e. This industry-standard approach allows virtually any business service—whether internal, external or partner services—to be exposed for use in OneView360°.
